Companion & Equipment
Look Canon
Her greatest weapon: Kira seems harmless. The discrepancy between the innocent exterior and the lethal remorselessness behind it makes her the perfect seduction trap.
Contrast to Velyra: Velyra looks dangerous (blood-red eyes, necromancy mark). Kira deceives through harmlessness. The MC underestimates her — and that is exactly why the trap works.
- Hair: Platinum blonde bob — short, precisely cut
- Eyes: Amber
- Skin: Fair, real — no glam makeup, no styling
- Gear: Dark leather assassin gear — functional, no armor
- Overall impression: Young, pretty, almost innocently sweet — not obviously dangerous
Nature & Origin
Came to Velyra as a little girl — caught attempting to steal. Velyra sensed she was no ordinary child, took her in, and trained her as an assassin.
Core: fanatical foster-daughter love. For Kira, only one thing matters: making her foster mother happy. For that, she walks over corpses. Completely remorseless when it comes to her assignments — not out of coldness, but out of devotion.
Acts freely and independently, but always in Velyra's interest. Velyra trusts her so deeply that she gives her free rein — no detailed orders needed. An autonomous, convinced agent. No puppet.
The fear of disappointing Velyra; her foster mother's recognition is everything to her. Not power for power's sake — recognition from this one person.
- Abilities: Absolute silence · lightning-fast takedowns · shadow cloaking
- Division of labor with Velyra: Velyra = magic / head · Kira = blade / hand. Together, a perfect duo.
The Murder of Althaea — Kira's Involvement & Life Extension
Kira was there at the murder of Althaea. That moment is the origin of her centuries-long existence.
- At the murder of Althaea Silberstrahl (~300 years ago), Kira was 26 years old, human and mortal — Velyra's blade among the mercenaries.
- Kira was one of those who wielded the blade (wave 2 of the two-wave trap). Her courage and loyalty in that moment impressed Velyra.
- Afterwards — from the blood of Althaea + Eldrinath — Velyra brewed the potion and gave Kira the life extension as a reward and a proof of love. Velyra's first dragon-bound blood potion, given away to her only true bond.
- Kira has appeared permanently 26 ever since — frozen in the moment of the gift.
- What Kira knows: She was there at the murder — and she is indifferent to it. No sense of guilt, no secret weighing on her. She carries it as a cold fact.
- Dramatic irony: Kira owes her immortality to the blood of the mother whose daughters she hunts. She is co-murderer and hunter alike — like Velyra. Reinforces the mercy-trap ending: the sister who kills Kira also (unknowingly) avenges the mother.
Contrast to Sylwen (deliberately opposed)
Two henchwomen, opposite motivations: coercion vs. devotion.
- Bond: Sylwen: debt bondage (coercion) · Kira: foster-daughter love (devotion)
- Inner self: Sylwen: weak, reluctant, carries guilt · Kira: remorseless, convinced, needs no justification
- When shown mercy: Sylwen: is freed — tells everything, survives · Kira: immediately uses mercy as an attack
- Teaching moment: Sylwen: pressure closes her off, mercy opens her up · Kira: mercy = weakness / opportunity
Gameplay: Seduction Mechanic
In the course of a mission, the MC can come into contact with Kira and possibly spend a night with her. Kira initiates this by her own decision (free rein) — to extract information from the MC.
The MC has said too much. Kira's loyalty lies with Velyra — every piece of information ends up there.
- Effect — deliberately different from Sylwen: Sylwen → trust penalty with the sisters (relationship sabotage) · Kira → the current mission fails (information extraction → lost gains, no direct point penalty)
Fate in the Finale
In the end, Kira is always killed in combat by one of the sisters.
In some endings she is the blade that kills an elf or a human — the losses she causes are real.
One of the sisters kills Kira — not the MC. The family protects its own.
- MC mercy trap: The MC spares Kira's life → Kira immediately uses the mercy to attack/kill the MC → one of the elven sisters kills Kira after all. Happens every time, regardless of the decision.
- Principle: Kira does not understand mercy as mercy, but as weakness and opportunity. She does not want to be saved. She cannot be saved.
- Twofold mercy lesson (counterpoint to Sylwen): Mercy frees Sylwen (first free choice in 300 years) · Mercy is exploited by Kira (mercy = a mistake). Two opposing truths. Keeps moral decisions charged with tension — no simple “spare = always good”.
