Vaelan Nimroth

Background

Elven warrior and ranger, tasked by the High Council of the Elves with uncovering the fate of Althaea's elven guards. Vaelan was not among those who fled — but he knows the story and carries the collective shame as an open wound. The Council mission and personal atonement overlap.

• Special Position of Knowledge: Vaelan knows from the very beginning which family he has fallen in with. The inner struggle — when and how to reveal it — only begins once Althaea becomes a topic of conversation (from trust level onward). “Knowing” and “revealing” diverge; that is his additional inner tension.
• Father Relationship: Ammetharion welcomes him (elf baseline = benevolent). The only pairing in the team with an active father's blessing.
• Dual Function — MC Template + Companion: As the elf MC, the player takes over Vaelan's slot + backstory, including the Council assignment. The private conversation with Ammetharion (full disclosure vs. keeping it covered) is exclusive to the elf MC.

Nature & Resonance

“Shares Mirianwe's pace.” Vaelan has no mortality clock — he can wait as long as she can. He does not push, he demands nothing. That is why he can let her ice thaw instead of forcing it. Quiet, not cold; the same depth beneath a calm surface.

He is the anti-pressure rule made flesh: Mirianwe's signature gate is called “restraint” — Vaelan embodies this principle without ever naming it.

• ② Choice: After her decision for him. The overwhelming intensity beneath the frost is released. (Arc: Frost → Thaw)
• Mortality Core: No gap — a pairing of equals (600 vs. 1000 years; both outlive generations of humans). The only truly symmetrical connection in the team.
